The MEGA was originally the idea of Brian McClelland, created to bring to life the kind of grassroots racing we wanted to see more of in the Central Okanagan / Kelowna area. Racing built by the people, for the people.

The course is challenging without being over the top, with most of the race taking place on a fun mix of black- and blue-level trails that keep the ride feeling good from start to finish. The short course is a great way to get a taste of enduro racing, and it’s especially popular with beginners or anyone who simply hasn’t had enough time on the bike lately.
 

For the fitter crowd the long course still keeps things reasonable with around 1,200 metres of climbing, a modest day out that delivers a little bit of everything riders love about Gillard.
 

Your entry includes lunch, a race plate, feed station support, first aid, and prizes, all for under $100. And with support from bike shops across the region, it’s shaping up to be a great day built around good trails, good people, and a whole lot of bikes.
